Our Difference

We’re not just another optical lab — we’re built on a mission.

The best eyewear isn’t defined by brand labels, but by clarity, craftsmanship, and consistency. Every lens we surface is engineered to deliver the sharpest vision possible — faster, cleaner, and with greater attention to detail.

Craftsmanship

Built, engineered, and tested by experts who care.

Integrity

Veteran-owned and committed to doing things the right way.

Service

Responsive, transparent, and easy to work with.

Efficiency

Short lead times, reliable turnaround, zero excuses.

Inside the Lab

Technology that does more — faster.

From surfacing to final inspection, every stage runs on modern, digitally connected equipment chosen for precision, speed, and consistency.

01 · Surfacing

Block-free digital surfacing with MEI CoreTBA

At the heart of our lab is the MEI CoreTBA — the only fully integrated, block-free freeform lens surfacer. By doing away with every step of traditional blocking, alloy, and tape, it lets us turn prescriptions around faster and hold tighter tolerances than a conventional lab ever could. It’s the difference between a process built decades ago and one built for how modern optical should run.

02 · Coating

Advanced coatings, applied in-house

Every coating step happens under our own roof — so each lens leaves clear, durable, and finished exactly to spec, without handing your jobs off to a third party.

Schneider DH-60 Dip Coater

Capable of up to 72 lenses per hour, this combined ultrasonic cleaning and hard dip-coat unit builds maximum durability and a stable foundation for anti-reflective treatments.

Ultra Optics Backside Coater

Our UV spin-coating process adds backside scratch-resistant protection that maximizes visual clarity and durability across a wide range of lens materials.

Bühler SYRUS 1100

A high-productivity coating plant built for volume — from broadband anti-reflective to mirror coatings, 350 to 960 pairs per shift, with benchmark color stability across the full batch and industry-leading cost per lens.

FusionM® In-Line Coating (ILC) System

The FusionM® by Quantum coats each lens individually — mirror finishes included — the moment it’s ready, so production never waits on a batch to fill. Independent chambers run concurrently, applying multiple coating techniques at once for rapid throughput with no downtime between jobs.

03 · Edging

MEI BispheraTBA Phoenix

The newest MEI edger, the BispheraTBA, edges two lenses at once while loading the next pair — delivering best-in-class throughput and total quality control, with the flexibility to handle any frame or job type without ever slowing down.

Specialty edging with the MEI EZFit

Where the BispheraTBA drives high-volume throughput, the EZFit is our specialty workhorse — edging the complex, rimless, and personalized jobs that larger edgers can’t. Built on MEI’s milling technology, it brings that same precision and 100% first-time fit to the work most labs have to send out, and its eco-friendly Dry Cut process saves up to 264,000 gallons of water a year.

04 · Quality Control

Quality built into every stage

Quality isn’t a final step — it’s checked at every point along the way. Our QC pipeline runs multiple operational checkpoints from order intake through dispensing, so every lens and frame strictly adheres to specification. Nothing leaves the lab until it’s verified.

Order verification

The Rx is validated against frame geometry — wrap angle, pantoscopic tilt — and blanks are inspected for defects before processing.

Surfacing QC

Base curve, center and edge thickness, and generator power are checked against the work ticket, with calibrated cutting for every design.

Polishing & coating QC

Lenses are inspected under specialized lighting; coating adhesion and AR performance are tested with cross-hatch and transmission checks.

Edging & layout QC

Optical center, cylinder axis, lens size, and bevel placement are verified against the patient’s PD and segment height.

Final inspection

A lensometer confirms sphere, cylinder, axis, and add to strict ANSI tolerances, with prism and cosmetic fit checked on the assembled pair.

Packaging & dispensing

Finished eyewear is reconciled against the original order and a final Rx read is recorded for full track-and-trace.
